"Couldn't ask for a better bestfriend"

This one picture means a lot to me. Me and my bestfriend Katherine on the first day of school. I chose to use this photo because when I look back at it, it reminds me of all the rough times we have had. I edited my photo this way because I wanted to bring out all the fall colours. My quote is pretty simple. I really couldn't ask for a better bestfriend. She means a lot to me and has been with me through everything. There is an exclamation point at the end of the sentence because I didn't want it to be serious. There's nothing serious when it comes to us friends together. We joke around and are the best of friends.

Confession- "mistakes were made. lessons were learned"

"Mistakes we made, lessons were learned"

I came up with this quote on the spot as soon as we were given the assignment. After, I came back to it and wasn't sure what I should write. I could write a thousand stories of when I forgave people for their mistakes, but didn't actually forget about it. Or I could write about the times I forgave myself for the mistakes I've made and still have troubles forgetting them. I chose this quote because it gets me thinking about all the time I have taken to beat myself up over the mistakes I've made, instead of taking the time to correct them. This picture I took is of a path and a bridge at my cabin. I thought it went great with the meaning of this quote. The path leads you to a bridge and on the other side everything is unknown. You set yourself up and lead yourself to the bridge and have a chance to restart once you get over. I added the boarder on my photo because I didn't want to make the quote and photo too serious. The font went well because it looks mysterious.

Me- "have confidence, trust yourself and achieve"

 

"Have confidence, trust yourself and achieve" 

To me this quote is very simple. To achieve you must have confidence and trust yourself. I chose these words because confidence is key in my life. I work hard and believe I can accomplish anything. The picture I chose was of me and my horse jumping at a horse show. This picture was chosen because horse jumping isn't as easy as it looks. In order to get over the fence you must trust your horse, and your horse must trust you. My horse won't jump if he doesn't have confidence in himself and can feel i don't. I converted the photo to black and white because it was a blurry photo to begin with and it was easier to see in black and white. Words were listed so I added a comma.

Love- " love can't be just a dream"

"Love can't be just a dream?"

This photo that I chose is a picture of a heart shaped rock. This rock means a lot to me but has a really long story. It is too hard to explain and would be confusing to the viewer. The heart shaped rock was found at my cabin randomly in the water. I used these in the quote because everyone is forever saying love is just a dream and doesn't exist. "It's only in your dreams" I don't believe that. You think it's just a dream because what's happening is exactly what you want to happen. To me the don't I used was fairytale looking. It reminded me of a cute Disney movie. I didn't add punctuation because I thought it flowed and sounded a lot better without any. I enhanced and brightened the photo because when I'm with the one person I love my mood changes and everything gets brighter.

Future- "ready to start a new chapter!"

"Ready to start a new chapter!"

I am really looking forward to start my career and move in a new direction. I used this quote because I can't wait to see what happens next and start a new chapter in my life. I hope to be in university and study paramedicine. I just decided at the beginning of this school year that that's the path I'm headed down. Get Into medicine and help people. My photo is of a big H and the word hospital because that's where I will be working. It gives the viewer an idea about what I'll be studying. The letters are bold to make them more visible and stand out more. There's and exclamation point because it shows that I am excited. This quote is one of my favourites out of my 8. Growing up seems to be a scary thing but I can't wait.

Family- "No, we definitely aren't just sisters"

"No we definitely aren't just sisters"

I chose this quote because the relationship my sister and I have is extremely strong. Unlike other siblings, my sister and I hardly fight or disagree. We help each other out and she guides me in the right direction. This photo was used because to me it shows our bond. Sure anyone can take a photo of two siblings holding hands and say we love each other. Our picture is different. This photo reminds me of how much I look up to her and how much we've been through. I used the comma in my quote because I wanted a pause before the actual meaning behind it. The boarder was used because I wanted to make the picture look fun since we are at the beach. The photo was darkened to add a different feel in the scene.

6 word memoirs

"You gotta live life and dream". I used this quote because I believe in order to live life you must dream and live life to the fullest. This photo was taken at my cabin, summer or 2012 at Victoria Beach. I used it because when your standing in the sand, looking at the lake, it looks endless. It got me thinking about how similar life could be. If you dream and live life to the fullest you could accomplish and achieve anything. I thought that the colours in my photo were perfect the way they are so I didn't bother editing it in anyway. Pasted the text and left it just the way it was.
